Here are the common English equivalents of “euh” and what they usually signal:

Sound
Typical Meaning
Example

Uh
Hesitation / thinking
“Uh… I don’t know.”

Um
Hesitation / mild uncertainty
“Um, can you repeat that?”

Er (UK English)
Hesitation / filling silence
“Er… what do you mean?”

Hmm
Thinking / doubt / mild disapproval
“Hmm… interesting idea.”

Eh?
Asking for clarification / surprise
“Eh? What did you say?”

Huh?
Confusion / didn’t hear
“Huh? Come again?”

These are all filler or reaction sounds, not actual words.
In writing, people also use “…,” “…” or “uhhh” to mimic the sound.

That is why cities are also the genuine locale of the blasé attitude. In the blasé attitude the concentration of men and things stimulate the nervous system of the individual to its highest achievement so that it attains its peak(麻木不仁,人和事物的剧增刺把人推到事业的顶端,神经系统因此也达到了顶峰).

Through the mere quantitative intensification of the same conditioning factors this achievement is transformed into its opposite and appears in the peculiar adjustment of the blasé attitude(通过这些同样刺激因素数量的增多,事业会朝着反向转化,成为对麻木不仁的一种奇怪的矫正. In this phenomenon the nerves find in the refusal to react to their stimulation the last possibility of accommodating to the contents and forms of metropolitan life

Haha! Today, my stream was so bad, I never caught even one whole sentence, Adrian. ????

You sounded drunk by the broken sentences. Now I listened to the recorder, you're laughing at me, bad boy!! It seems you got revenge of yesterday, when I laughed at your brainchild Grok.
