My office is on the 3rd floor of Cancer Institute. Two years ago, I almost never used elevators. In fact, I even proposed to "reserve the elevators for patients only". Now I always take an elevator.

Two years ago, I was declaring "paperless" office. Now I have to print out more and more stuff.

I now find it a challenge to drive night time on the highway.

Fortunately, I have not seen a measureable slowdown in the volleyball games that I play twice a week. Hope others in my age group are doing better..

"to always use an elevator" should be fine unless 主任 says otherwise. I think we Chinese sometimes use "the" in place of an "a".

I can if I try hard enough and am willing to shift the way my mind works. I started to use English as the working language from age 24. I do not think in Chinese mostly.

Typing Pimyin? Yes, you can do it. I was thinking I couldn't do it some 8 years ago. By the time I was writing on paper and paying others to keyboarding the text of my science stories for me. Later with more 八挂on net,小站and 险地, I now have no problem. By the way, my English is declining. The second language always declines the first.

deepocean, it is the brain problem, not an eye one. It seems that the ideas no long stick by just reading it on the screen. Have to print it out and mark them on the paper.

It only made things worse. Then I tried an Ipad at Sam's Club. It was such a pain without a real keyboard (another sign of declining mental capacity). I am now finally home at a real computer and have corrected the errors you all kindly pointed out.

To Aprilfool, it would be very, very hard for me to type Chinese. I cannot tell one Chinese character from the other with the same sound. Besides, I cannot afford to live in two languages due to limited brain memory and declining brain CPU processing power.
