一早来上班

听到个不好的消息

R同志于昨日早上走了....

从我们听到他生病的消息

还没有二个月.....

也许对他来说是个解脱

但是可怜白发人送黑发人

可怜那还只是三岁的孩子....

同事写了邮件如下:

Dear all

It's my first time to write such sad news.  As you may have already heard, R, our friend with smiling all the time, passed away yesterday morning.

Losing a friend in my age is unexpected and never to be easy when we think we are experiencing a best time of life, with kids and parents around.  We are in the most fruitful stage in our career, about to be strong enough to raise kids.  We assume everyone in our age is as happy as ours.  It's a punch to chest when this is announced.  We refuse to believe that such a nice friend will leave us so quickly.

But I think this is a much harder time for his family.  It will take a longer time for his wife, his little boy and his parents to get used to live without him, and put the memory with him in their heart.  They have a long way.

R's funeral is scheduled on this Friday morning.  Please let me know whether you want to attend, say goodbye to him, or any words you wish to bring to his family.

Wish him health and peace in the heaven.
