A Little Jay
By Tabby Cat in 2007
Once I saw a little jay
By winterwinds it was swept away.
And to me, it did say,
" Tweet--a--tweet!
I want to go home and eat!"
So for many days we searched and searched
On snow white birch and the redwood tree
Till we came to an old oak tree
And the jay shouted, "It's my home I see!
Tweet--a--tweet
Now I can go home and eat!"
A year went by and then I hear
A voice that sounds familiar
"Tweet--a--tweet,
Do you want to come and eat?"
A Limerick

There was a young lady of France
Who really really wanted to dance.
She bought a new gown
That made her fall down.
That unlucky lady of France!
Mother's Day Season By Tabby Cat in 2007
This is the time of year
Where everything we hold dear
Becomes even more crystal clear
In our hearts
This is the time I like
When spring blooms before our eyes
And singing birds adorn the skies
In a dawn of sparkling blue
This is the time to tell
That kindness especially abounds
With the lovely caressing sound
Of a mother's voice.
U make my life 1000 times better !
My Visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World
By Tabby Cat in 2007
My heart leaped as I skipped down the steps. I had been
looking forward to visiting this place for weeks. I was at Hershey’s Chocolate
World at last!
I strolled through the entrance into a grand, magnificently
decorated building. Smiling chocolate bars greeted me cheerfully. I glanced
around. There was so much to do! Where should I visit first?
I headed to the chocolate tour. I passed through several
beautifully painted rooms that displayed places where chocolate comes from. I
could feel the hot, steamy climate. I climbed down some stairs onto a huge
platform and into something that resembled a large bumper car. A loudspeaker in
the car explained how chocolate is made. The car chugged slowly off the
platform and into the tour. Amusing singing cows grinned merrily at me at the
start of the tour. I sped from forests full of cacao beans to sunny farms to a
great chocolate factory. Colorful machines of all shapes and sizes huffed and
puffed cheerily at me around every bend. Fake chocolate bars slid off machines
into brown plastic boxes. The car emerged out of the tour and steadily halted
to a stop and I clambered out.
Shortly after, I received a packet of free chocolate
Kissables. “Can I eat all of them? “ I asked my mom.
“Oh…okay, “
she said. I savored the sweet, luscious taste in my mouth.
After that, I went to the Hershey’s Make-Your-Own-Chocolate
place. Somebody took a picture of me. I also received a delightful Hershey’s
Chocolate Factory hat. Then I pretended to make my own Chocolate Kisses. Soon
after, I got a vividly decorated hershey’s Chocolate Factory ID splashed with
colors. My mom and dad also bought two brightly colored Hershey’s Kisses
containers filled to the brim with flavorful Hershey’s Kisses.
Finally, I went to a place that sold dozens of tasty
chocolate treats. My mom bought me a jumbo, sugary Hershey’s Kissables cookie.
It was one of the most mouth-watering, lip-smacking treats in my life!
Soon it was time to leave. As I strode through the door, I
thought about my wonderful summer’s day at Hershey’s Chocolate World. I knew I
would never forget it!
To See the World
By Tabby Cat in 2008
I want to see the blue of the shining Pacific,
The crests of the waves crashing down into the water,
Dolphins leaping in and out of the tide,
If only I could see the sea.
I want to see the green of the rich Amazon,
Birds crying out from the dense vegetation,
The lush trees touching the tip of the clouds,
If only I could see the rain forest.
I want to see the red of the Grand Canyon,
The quiet beauty reflected in the river miles below,
Eagles flying out into the sunset,
If only I could see the canyon.
I want to see the brown of the Mojave Desert,
Wind rushing over the sandy dunes,
Saguro cactus adding tinges of green against the cloudless
sky,
If only I could see the desert.
Countless places can be found,
With natural beauty and wonders,
From purple mountains to the deep blue sea,
Oh, I wish I could see
All of the world.
A note from my little sweetie.
Dear Mommy,
You're a nice mommy. I like to participate with you. You're pretty. I like to
go to the playground with you.
You are my sunshine. I make you happy.
