还记不记得电影 《他人的生活》 (《The Lives of Others》 "Das Leben der Anderen" ,漫人知道这个) ?里面 Sonata For a Good Man (Sonate vom Guten Menschen) = this Beethoven's Appassionata.

From wiki:

He said the idea for the film came to him when he was trying to come up with a scenario for a film class. He was listening to music and recalled Maxim Gorky's saying that Lenin's favorite piece of music was Beethoven's Appassionata. Gorky recounted a discussion with Lenin:

And screwing up his eyes and chuckling, [Lenin] added without mirth: But I can't listen to music often, it affects my nerves, it makes me want to say sweet nothings and pat the heads of people who, living in a filthy hell, can create such beauty. But today we mustn't pat anyone on the head or we'll get our hand bitten off; we've got to hit them on the heads, hit them without mercy, though in the ideal we are against doing any violence to people. Hm-hm—it's a hellishly difficult office!

Concerto for two violins composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, played by two of the greatest violin players: Yehudi Menuhin and David Oistrakh.

The Concerto for Double Violins in D Minor, BWV 1043:

The 2nd part, from 04:30  to 12: 30, is my favorite part.

It feels much better., when listening to it without watching the clip,  otherwise the beautiful melody will be lost in the quick movement.

Enjoy.

(1. Aufzug/Act 1 Prelude )

Enjoy!

The composition is often referred to as "Albinoni's Adagio" or "Adagio in G minor by Albinoni, arranged by Giazotto".[1] The ascription to Albinoni rests upon Giazotto's purported discovery of a manuscript fragment (consisting of a few opening measures of the melody line and basso continuo portion) from a slow second movement of an otherwise unknown Albinoni trio sonata.

According to Giazotto, he obtained the document shortly after the end of World War II from the Saxon State Library in Dresden which had preserved most of its collection, although its buildings were destroyed in the bombing raids of February and March 1945 by the British and American Air Forces. Giazotto concluded that the manuscript fragment was a portion of a church sonata (sonata da chiesa, one of two standard forms of the trio sonata) in G minor composed by Albinoni, possibly as part of his Op. 4 set, around 1708.[1]

In his account, Giazotto then constructed the balance of the complete single-movement work based on this fragmentary theme. He copyrighted it and published it in 1958 under a title which, translated into English, reads "Adagio in G minor for strings and organ, on two thematic ideas and on a figured bass by Tomaso Albinoni".[3] Giazotto never produced the manuscript fragment, and no official record has been found of its presence in the collection of the Saxon State Library.[4]

The piece is most commonly orchestrated for string ensemble and organ, or string ensemble alone, but with its growing fame has been transcribed for other instruments.

scrolling through is that every one of

0:11
them is people playing as fast as they

0:13
can all you see just a lot of it's just

0:15
the guitar not even a head it's just

0:16
headless guitar players trying to rip as

0:19
fast as they can things that they've

0:21
practiced a million times but

0:23
I want to see real virtuosos and this is

0:26
no disrespect to all these amazing

0:28
guitar players out there you gotta look

0:30
to the piano and violin these are

0:33
instruments that have had pedagogy or

0:35
teaching strategies that go back

0:38
centuries right these are where the

0:41
virtuosos have had lifetimes worth of

0:44
technique that's been defined and

0:47
redefined and redefined and today we

0:49
have these super virtuosos one of them

0:52
I'm gonna play for you her name is yuja

0:54
Wong she's a Chinese pianist who was

0:58
born in 1987 she came to the United

1:00
States and studied at the Curtis

1:01
Institute and I've been following her

1:03
for years and years anytime I that

1:05
people think that there are these

1:07
incredible guitar players that have

1:09
chops I'll just play them this one piece

1:11
and they see it and the camera can't

1:13
even catch up to what she's doing it's a

1:15
blur but this is a one minute and 50

1:18
second piece and it's based on

1:20
rimsky-korsakov's Flight of the

1:21
Bumblebee It Was Written 1899 1900 or so

1:25
and this is absolutely

1:30
insane let's check it out

1:32
[Applause]

1:43
[Music]

2:03
effortless

2:09
[Music]

2:22
[Applause]

2:28
[Music]

2:32
so relaxed

2:36
[Music]

2:42
can you see your hands

2:48
[Music]

3:05
now this is at the end of an entire

3:08
program an entire concert and this is

3:11
our Encore piece so she's played a full

3:13
concert and then she attacks this with

3:16
this kind of energy it's really really

3:19
remarkable I should mention that this

3:21
rimsky-korsakov fled to the Bumblebee

3:23
Arrangement is by the great Hungarian

3:26
pianist Georgie zifra who has an

3:29
incredibly fascinating story and I will

3:31
make a video on him in the future here's

3:34
a video of zifra improvising this is

3:36
from 1962. it's on YouTube

3:41
foreign

3:42
[Music]

3:46
you can see where these ideas come from

3:49
he wrote These insane piano Arrangements

3:52
the interlocking octaves in this Flight

3:55
of the Bumblebee are just about

3:57
impossible to play and she's doing these

4:00
things just effortlessly there's also

4:02
another zipper arrangement of a Strauss

4:04
piece called the Trish Trash Polka this

4:07
is the ending of it this is usually

4:09
playing and it has a stride piano

4:11
because zipper it was also a jazz

4:13
improviser and he incorporates a lot of

4:15
jazz elements into this Arrangement he's

4:18
basically playing the orchestral

4:19
Arrangement that Strauss had but making

4:21
it insane adding all these extra parts

4:24
check out this stride piano so stride

4:27
pianos basically you you have a an

4:29
octave or a tenth in the left hand and

4:31
then you go up to a chord and she's

4:33
doing the so insanely fast check it out

4:46
thank you

4:49
[Music]

5:04
this is just a little glimpse into you

5:07
just playing you should definitely check

5:08
her out on YouTube there are many many

5:10
pieces of her she's not just this

5:12
technical wizard she's an incredibly

5:15
emotional player there's so many

5:17
concertos and chamber music pieces and

5:20
uh and solo piano pieces that are on

5:22
YouTube or follow her on Instagram I'd

5:25
love to have her in for an interview at

5:26
some point hopefully that'll happen but

5:29
this is a Pianist that you should know

5:31
about if you don't already anybody

5:33
that's into classical music knows

5:35
usually Wong she's just uh she's a

5:37
legend already at 35. that's all for now

5:41
don't forget to hit the Subscribe button

5:42
I appreciate you all watching and we'll

5:45
see you soon
