Missing the penultimate button
on my favorite blouse
the two wisdom teeth on the left
making a spectacle
only facing a depressive interviewer
did I realize the shoes I wear
one soft creamy one brightly white
the food bought from supermarket
was forgot in the trunk for a whole week
worker bees in the garden have stopped
making honey but tons of annoying noises
why deer must savor astringent sensation
of the first love with my persimmon trees
the solar enthusiasm burns Victor Hugo
a hand of good cards, too greedy
always lose in the end--the air coming
out of COVID-19 infected lungs is so black
that no clear sky could squeak through
a fat Pandora, a bag full of evil, flushes
a Meinkampf look with her gobbledygook
till a peal of metallic ring brings
a coldness penetrating to the core:
alas, it turns out to be a real
wake-up call:
“What? Negative?!” |
