Definitely not buy anything that uses older technology, including current generation of Surface Pro. About resolution, the 1080p on 10.6 inch screen is more than sufficient, especially for own older eyes. You seem to have struggled a lot with resolution stuff. For me, 11.6 inch screen, 720 p is good; 13-14 inch, 900p is good and 15.6 inch, 1080p is good.

俺没那么多讲究，俺说的是深海，他是没有视网膜就不看滴。

还是那句话，光有视网膜还不够，还要有无级放大的软件，不然视网膜也没多大用处。

另外，也明白了一个道理，就是系统本身也会成为漏电的原因。

Windows desktop does not scale well but this is supposed to change in Win 8.1. The modern apps do scale as iOS and Android. On my 11.6 inch laptop, I mostly stay on the modern side. In fact, the most used command is cont+ or cont- to increase or decrease font.

But there is no unlimited up or down scaling. You cannot scale a low resolution photo too much. Fortunately we do not need that even for our older eyes.
