《红红的雨花石》主题曲《我是一颗小小的石头》

I was in Nanjing this summer and was passing by 雨花 Tai. The tune of this song, which I had not heard for at least 10 years, suddenly jumped into my mind. I dug out this song after my return to US, which is still as fresh and touching as when I first listened to it in the 70s. If I remember correctly, it was about a group of children in Kuming Tan's prison. They faced very uncertain future as they were likely to die in the prison. But that fate did not diminish their love for life. Instead, "我愿铺起一条五彩的路, 让人们去迎接黎明迎接欢乐". The song brings deep joy and deep sadness to my heart. But ultimately I am filled with  love for these kids.
