Gorgeous and superb, ho, colorful and attractive.
葳蕤而蓊蘢兮芳馨而醉鼻﹒
Luxuriant and verdant, ho, whiffs of perfume assailing my nostrils.
目仙姬之出沒兮耳鳳簫之吟吟﹒
Eying goddesses come and go, ho, and hearing phoenix-decorated flute playing.
余拾磴級而上兮初遲豫而逡逡﹒
I follow the stone steps up, ho, vacillating at first, I pace to and fro.
終鼓勇而叩猊環兮乃卑我而肅躬﹒
Finally plucking up my courage, I knock at the door, ho, bowing my head and waiting in esteem.
數敲闥而莫余應兮唯跼蹐以對閉扃﹒
