About Translation My advice

'Tis great if you’d be concise and precise,
But I know you may have to throw a dice
To choose whether it’s“precise’ or “concise”,
You scratch your head as if you had head lice.
You don’t mind comments that you may entice
‘Cause you’ll use them as a special device
To catch those bloody hidden textual mice,
And also you’d fain take them as blocks of ice
To keep a cool head to do a job nice -
- Good better best until you’re free of vice,
Which you do for fun rather than for price,
Which you regard as nourishing brown rice.
No paradise without your sacrifice;
Above mentioned is my heartfelt advice.

Thou hast been lying there for many days,
A placard and a hat in front of thee -
“I am sick and homeless” thy placard says,
“In debt as well, prithee kindly help me!”
It goeth on…men and women strut past fast,
Some nonchalant, and some turn a blind eye;
No one is ready or willing to cast
Even a cent, though thou dost not know why…
Why people don't proffer their helping hand,
Oh, let me tell thee why people do not,
A law unwrit that thou must’st understand
One can hardly rescue a wretched sort…  
If really sadly in abject poverty,
Thy begging only bringeth thee beggary!

被这篇以锋芒表现的同情所感动。一边查字典一边翻了，肯定有错处吧。但重在参与。

为什么人们不施以援手，
啊，让我告诉你他们为什么不，
你须明了一条不成文的例律
一个烂人 是没救地...
如果你真是不幸到赤贫，

Sonnet – To A Country Lad

Good heavens! Methinks thou dost love to whine,
And curse that fate hath ill-treated thee,
As thou oft view’st thy world as the bitter wine
Rather than the nectar that’s so dainty.
To be contented with thy delicious life,
And do repine not at what thou canst not crave,
Tho’ thou mayst trust thou shalt suffer no strife,
For thou art wiser than many a knave.
Dear Lad, albeit thou art from the countryside,
So blissfully thou art blest to enjoy
The great changes that do Red China betide.
That is why thou canst verse while reaping soy,
Keep in mind there’s a saying - Man can propose,
Yet all in God’s hand, as God doth dispose!
