| 最近看2024年的英文电影《企鹅课》（The Penguin Lessons），其中提到了英国诗人约翰·马斯菲尔德（John Masefield, 1878-1967）的一首短诗Sea Fever。电影很不错，值得推荐。
这首诗最初发表在1902年，流传很广。我想我最初是在许国璋《英语》教材中读过这首诗，所以在电影中看到所引用的第一段诗文时，一种熟悉的感觉不禁冒了出来。 看完电影，我找到了这首诗的全文： Sea-Fever By John Masefield I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking, And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking. I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
